Before you spend money on advertising your website, be prepared to determine the value of the marketing expense. Do you know how many visitors your website is getting? Do you know how the visitors are getting there? Do you know what they are doing on your website?
In most cases, the goal of any business is to get the consumer to purchase your product or service. In a retail storefront, you want the person to show up and buy your product. In a service type business, you want the consumer to call you and ask questions – ultimately scheduling your company to perform the service.

Some bigger companies advertise for branding. Small companies need to see results or they will not be able to continue to be in business.
